St. Timothy's Fine Art Series Concert
The Houston Symphonic Band will present its opening concert of the new season for our wonderful friends at St. Timothy's Lutheran Church in the NW Houston/Tomball area. This will be the fourth time we have performed for this wonderful audience and we appreciate their invitation.
This concert was originally scheduled for Sunday, September 14, 2008 but Hurricane Ike had different plans for the area. We hope everyone came through the storm successfully and thank you if you joined us for the re-scheduled date and time.

World Premiere - Concerto for Trumpet and Wind Band
The Houston Symphonic Band is honored to present another world premiere of a composition that has been written by an internationally-known composer.
Leroy Osmon's new piece - "Concerto for Trumpet, Winds and Percussion" - will be presented featuring equally famous virtuoso performer - Will Strieder. Professor Strieder is artist-in-residence and professor of brass at Texas Tech University as well as a member of the Houston Ballet Orchestra.
